The text below is a reprint of the nomination for inclusion on the National Register of Historic Places prepared by Olaf W. Shelgren Jr. and Dr. Francis R. Kowsky

The dairy barn is a large, timber-framed barn with three interior levels. It is located slightly southwest of the farmhouse, at the edge of a fenced pasture. Portions of the dairy farm may stand on foundations of an 1840s barn.

It has walls of vertical boarding, which for many years have been painted red. The two green roofs were installed in 2001. A large square wing abuts it at the northwest corner.

There is a ground level entrance to the main section on the north side and a second entrance on the east side reached by an earthen ramp.
