A resolution, sponsored by
David Franczyk and Joseph Golombek, Jr., was passed the Buffalo Common Council, and
reads in part as follows:
Be it resolved
that the Common Council urges the preservation Board to recommend that the Commissioner
of Permit and Inspections withhold any demolition permits for 1089 Elmwood until
any and all avenues have been explored to develop an alternative to its destruction,
...,; and
Be it further
resolved that the Common Council is opposed to the demolition of 1089 Elmwood Avenue;
and
Be it further
resolved that the Common Council is committed to working with Pano's Restaurant to
find a solution to its parking needs without tearing down 1089 Elmwood.
